Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress best famous for her role in film as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the popular television series The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in films theater and television. Her acting journey began in theater and later appeared on a variety of TV programs and both mainstream and independent films. Her biggest success came as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico while also appearing in BET's acclaimed series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she won critical acclaim as well as several nominations as well as awards including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress.
